How to Hotel

No, the correct choice is not the Hartwall Long Drink even though it is a tasty long drink everyone should give a try.
The Hotel Setup!
A traveller might start to feel homesick when he is wandering the country. If a Steam deck is not enough to cover the donkey work of waiting, then allies will be needed.
Next I will show a list of exact equipment needed for a successful hotel trip.

- PC
- Monitor
- Peripherals
- Internet and modem
- Discord with a friend or AI capable of videogames
- A hotel room (obviously)
- Fancy furniture (obviously)
Travel PC specs
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
- Nvidia RTX 2070
- 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM
- Windows 11 on 1TB NVMe m2 SSD
- 2TB NVMe m2 SSD for games
- Loads of RGB
- Fractal Design Ion 660W Platinum PSU
It is important to have a CPU that has an iGPU built in, as Nvidias recent driver issues could make your trip go down the toilet. I have had a trip where Nvidia and Microsoft update rot the display driver and the only way to get through it was a fresh install of Windows.
How to pack all this?
It is actually somewhat simple. All you need is a 90L baggage. Not a travellers backpack - neither a slingbag, but a wheeled luggage.

This baggage can hold a mATX case, peripherals and either a 24" or even a 27" monitor. I took a 24" 60Hz travel-monitor as testing is still in its early stage and it would not be nice to break a sub 300 euro monitor..

Ready to travel!

The Steam Deck is a great choice for both short and longer trips where space is limited, but it will never replace a desktop PC - thus a desktop PC will never replace the handiness of a Steam deck.
If you happen to be bone idle like me, maybe the Steam is a better choice overall - I will drop a review later this year regarding the 512GB LCD Steam Deck.
