Last year a friend of mine visited a shelter "zoo" in Heinola, Finland. There he spotted a goose that looks like me, or atleast it's what he claimed. So I visited the zoo last summer and met The Goose.
Well, perhaps there's something in common..
I tend to order supplies for my pets from ZooPlus.fi and whenever you place an order you also get rewarded with points. These points then can be used to buy yummies for pets or even food - or to donate to charity like in my case.
We found a random duck boat on a trailer, for sale. 30,000 EUR.
In December I got an email saying there are more than 500 points going to expire in a few months. That's when I checked my current balance, and it was a little bit over 1,000! I placed an order and used the points for this specific shelter I recently visited. What a coinsidence!
Heinolan Lintuhoitola, or in english "Heinola's bird shelter" is a place where various bird get rescued to. Goose, parrots, hawks, pretty much anything that has a pair of legs and wings.
Zooplus has this loyalty programme which can be used for this shelter. At that time I made the donation one point was worth of 1,00 EUR - meaning I could use my "savings" to donate over 1,000 EUR! So I did it.
This is a friendly reminder that even you - can support these fine projects so rescue birds get help.
